Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887 Chronograph
Introduced during this years’ BASELWORLD tradeshow, and in celebration of Tag Heuer’s 150th year anniversary, the new Carrera Calibre 1887 Chronograph timepiece is a brilliant example of why the Swiss brand is among the premier luxury watchmakers in the world. The watch features a historic technological revolution, the oscillating pinion mechanism first developed and patented by Edouard Heuer in 1887, which remains a key component in high-end Swiss watches today.
Technological innovations aside (and there are many), the main attraction of the Carrera Calibre 1887 is its timeless, yet stunning elegance. With clean, fluid lines and a stainless bracelet or alligator strap, the dial features a robust array of counters encased in a surgical-grade steel body. Flip it over and you’ll gasp over the exceptional intricacies of the movement viewable through the scratch-resistant caseback. Perhaps without the stigma attached to a Rolex, or the rugged utilitarian functionality of an Omega Seamaster, its uncompromising beauty sets it apart from all the rest.
Available soon in Canada & the U.S. for $3900.

BAPE – BAPEX 3 Chronograph
Coincidence or not, BAPE (A Bathing Ape) made the decision to release the newest addition to its timepiece collection towards the end of BASELWORLD, the world’s largest luxury watch tradeshow. The first in chronograph form, the watch, dubbed BAPEX 3, embodied all the functions of simple chronograph complications – stop watch, functional bezel with units, and more… with a humorous statement of “Made By Human” imprinted on the dial.
Encased in an aluminum alloy casing, the watch is resistant to water and minor scratches. Comes in a solid polished black or silver/black design, accompanied by BAPE Camouflage Cloth Case made for it exclusively. The BAPEX 3 Chronograph is now for sale at all BAPE boutiques in Japan, its BAPE LAND online store, and soon at its international location.

Tudor Heritage Chrono

One of the big showstoppers at the Baseworld Watch Expo in Switzerland comes via Rolex stablemate, Tudor, with a modern rendition of their Monte Carlo. Some subtle differences from the original include a larger 42mm case, knurled details on the crown, pushers, and bezel edge, and 3D applique hour markers versus the printed markers on the original. The watch will house a 7734 Valjoux movement and will be available with a steel bracelet or NATO strap option.
