Ora Concept Watch

Ora is a handsome watch that takes a break from the digital and analog era. It comes with an in-your-face style and colors that are energetic.
Vibrant as its looks is the system to tell time; three interwoven tapes, yes the measuring kind, move across the face to indicate the hour, minute and day. Fashionable or not, it certainly scores well in the product-design segment.

StressWatch

The black bar graph at the bottom of the watch is the stress line, and if the colors on the watch face are cool greens and blues, you’re pretty laid back. If they turn into hot pink, red or orange, look out.

UCS x Casio G-Shock - UCS 8th Anniversary - GWM5600 Model

UCS (Uno Caol Showten) is the business that is run by Japanese MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter Caol Uno and they are celebrating their 8th anniversary. For this occasion they have gotten together with Casio G-Shock to produce special 8th anniversary watch by using the classic shaped GWM5600 which is based on DW5600. The key feature of this model is that it is run by solar power rather than the conventional battery system so that this watch will in theory never run out of power. They have chosen to use the yellow colorway which pays homage to the original DW5600 that was on offer on its first release. Only a small branding on the band is visible with laser engraving of the UCS 8th anniversary and 8 stars on the back metal cover.

Timex X JK5 X Barney’s CO-OP

Joseph Ari Aloi, also known to most as JK5, is such a man as he is a tattoo artist, a publisher, toy-maker and artist versatile in a wide range of mediums all rolled into one single being who lives and works in Brooklyn.

For the upcoming holiday season, JK5 partnered up with Timex to release a specially designed timepiece that is to be released at Barney’s CO-OP. Based on one of Timex’s classic digital watch silhouettes known for its square and slim shape, the small octagonal face features artfully cryptic tags that read “JK5″ and “Barneys” across the top, “Illuimate” on the sides, and “Love, Light, Create” on the bottom.

The functions of such as “Reset” and “Mode” are highlighted with a glyph-like type treatment. The pink and blue type contrasted nicely with the black straps to highlight the designs without being over-the-top.

Check out the interview with JK5 on Green Label Art and also look out for the watch to drop!
