Omega Seamaster Ploprof 1200M







The history of the original Ploprof dates back to the 60’s, when it was developed by legendary diver Jacques Cousteau and french diving engineers at COMEX, who came to know the watch as the “PLOngeur PROFessionnel” or Professional Diver.


They created the watch from a Monobloc case which was inherently stronger, but also meant that to service the automatic movement, you would have to go in from the front, since the back didn’t open. It also included a large locking bezel feature with red button, which really gave the watch it’s distinctive look, along with the “shark proof” bracelet.
